MANITOWOC, WI (PRNewswire) Manitowoc Crane Group, a business segment of The Manitowoc Company Inc. highlighted its comprehensive range of crane products at an equipment exposition held in Shady Grove, PA recently. The high-profile event marked the first time that Manitowoc, Grove, Potain, National and Manlift products were jointly exhibited in North America.
Prior to the official opening of the Manitowoc Crane Group Expo, more than 100 members of the Specialized Carriers and Rigging Association came to see the equipment from a crane and rigging workshop the association was holding in Arlington, VA.
Among the equipment on display were over 30 units including three Manitowoc crawler cranes, three Potain tower cranes, three National boom trucks, eight Manlift aerial work platforms and more than a dozen Grove rough-terrain, all-terrain and telescopic truck cranes. Grove also used the event to introduce its newest rough-terrain crane, the Model RT800E.
"We were very pleased with the response from our guests, which included distributors, construction contractors, crane rental agencies and others allied with the industry," said Glen E. "The Expo drew customers from North America, South America, and Africa, including representatives from Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Ecuador, Guatemala and Nigeria. Overall, nearly 600 guests had the opportunity to see our equipment in action, operate our cranes firsthand and tour our world-class manufacturing facilities."
