Mathews Machinery Acquires More Space for Compacts

Even though the equipment is smaller than its big brothers, Mathews Machinery seized the opportunity to expand its compact division’s facilities in Corona, CA.

“We shared a common entrance with another company,” said Jim Harrison, manager of the compact division. “When they left, their building was available. The market out here is growing, which pushed us in this direction.”

Mathews Machinery also acquired extra land to showcase its line of Volvo’s compact equipment.

“The primary reason was for the extra yard space,” said Harrison. “We can have more demonstrations and more room for equipment. The extra office building will also accommodate additional staff.”

As the Volvo dealer of California, Mathews Machinery has five branches, including its headquarters in Lakeside, Sacramento, Livermore and Bakersfield. Corona is considered the headquarters for the compact division.

Mathews also will add a sixth location in Fresno by the end of the year.
