McAllister Equipment Co. announced the appointments of Martin K. Henry and Jack L. Zubaty as compact area managers.
Based at the company’s headquarters in Alsip, IL, they will be responsible for the compact sales aspects of Cook, Kankakee, Will, Kendall, Grundy, southern DuPage and southern Kane counties.
In March 2004, McAllister Equipment Co. introduced the Volvo compact equipment line –– skid steer loaders, backhoe loaders, compact excavators and compact wheel loaders.
In order to secure a successful launch, the company invested in inventory, a tow-and-show, service and sales training, aggressive marketing campaigns and increased the sales force.
Henry and Zubaty will be exclusively selling the compact equipment line. The company’s “heavy” salesmen will continue to sell McAllister’s full line of construction and aggregate products in their assigned territories.
Henry brings more than 8 years of sales experience to the company, including more than four years with Atlas Bobcat.
Zubaty’s more than 17 years of industry experience includes sales positions with Case, Atlas Bobcat, McCann, Casey Equipment and Sunbelt Rentals.
According to the company, the product knowledge and experience of Henry and Zubaty will continue to successfully lead the compact equipment line and increase McAllister’s market share in northern Illinois.
Knee Named Area Manager
McAllister also announced the appointment of Kent A. Knee as area manager. Based at the company’s E. Peoria, IL, branch, Knee will be responsible for the sales aspects in Champaign, Bloomington, Normal, Pontiac and surrounding counties.
Knee brings more than 9 years of industry experience to the position. After leaving the steel industry in the mid-1990s, Knee took on the role of service manager at MH Equipment.
He made the transition to the sales side of the forklift industry and spent the next four years in sales positions for various MH Equipment divisions.
Most recently, Knee was a territory sales manager for Toyota Lift. According to the company, his combined service and sales record along with his commitment to customer satisfaction, fortify him with the skills and knowledge to be a successful salesman in the construction and aggregate industries.
