McLaren Offers PROTRAC Series Skid Steer Tracks

- National Edition
Updated:

McLaren Industries PROTRAC Series High Performance Skid Steer Tracks are offered in three styles to handle virtually any job environment.

Constructed with manganese-enriched steel alloy for durability, McLaren’s PROTRAC Series tracks stabilize skid steer bouncing, eliminate tire slippage, offer a variety of interchangeable shoes and are self-cleaning.

The PROTRAC Series uses pins and links made of heat-treated forged chromium. This material features additional wear resistance and guarantees extensive track life and low-cost maintenance, according to the manufacturer.

McLaren offers three styles of PROTRAC skid steer tracks for a variety of uses. PROTRAC Diamond features a tire holding pad designed to perfectly fit the skid steer tire, providing maximum grip without slippage or damage to the tire. The track’s diamond-shaped crossbars provide enhanced gripping power, which prevents the skid steer from sliding when working in wet or icy conditions. The PROTRAC Diamond comes in three sizes to fit 10-, 12- and 14- in. (25, 30 and 35 cm) wide tires.

The PROTRAC Magnum features heat-treated shoes with a defined directional lug pattern for increased pushing and pulling power. The shoes are durable and can handle harsh ground conditions typical of demolition and land-clearing sites. The Magnum’s track design protects skid steer tires against punctures and provides flotation to go over sand, deep mud and all types of demolition debris.

The PROTRAC Rubber offers heavy-duty rubber shoes reinforced with steel plates, allowing the skid steer to travel over hard-finished surfaces such as concrete and asphalt without causing damage. The rubber shoes are gentle on roads, sidewalks, driveways, gardens and lawns.

Another feature of the Magnum and Rubber tracks is they are fully rebuildable, meaning worn-out parts can be replaced for a fraction of the cost of replacing the entire track. McLaren’s E-Z four-bolt system allows simple switching between Magnum and Rubber shoes to better fit job requirements.
