MDT Proposes Bridge Project

January 16, 2019 - West Edition #2
Montana Department of Transportation

The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) would like to notify the public and seek comments on a project to rehabilitate the bridge that crosses Scott's Coulee on Beaver Creek Road (Secondary Highway 234). The project is located approximately 1 mi. south of Havre at milepost 1.9 in Hill County.

Proposed work includes rehabilitating or replacing the existing bridge deck and improving the bridge rail and bridge approach guardrail at the site. Some modifications to the roadway immediately adjacent to the bridge are needed to tie into the new bridge deck surface.

The purpose of the project is to prevent further deterioration and extend the service life of the bridge.

The project is tentatively scheduled for construction in 2021, depending on completion of all project development activities and availability of funding. No new right-of-way or utility relocations are currently anticipated.

For more information, call 406/454-5880 or 406/444-7675.

Members of the public may submit written comments to the Montana Department of Transportation Great Falls office at P.O. Box 1359, Great Falls, Mont. 59403-1359, or online at: mdt.mt.gov/mdt/comment_form.shtml.
