Lloyd Meekins & Sons Auction Company held its annual spring contractor liquidation auction on April 29 at its Lumberton, N.C., location.
The sale featured a variety of equipment offered by numerous contractors including Atkinson Excavation, Bill’s Mobile Crane Service, Carolina Custom Grading, ST Wooten Corporation, TR Vernal Paving Company and Thompson Contracting. In all, 100 consignors participated, moving 900 lots across the block and on to new homes.
There were a total of 1,000 bidders, 217 of which were approved online bidders via equipmentfacts.com. The bids came from 24 U.S. states and from as far as Mexico, Canada (Quebec, Ontario, Nova Scotia, Edmonton), Belgium, Malaysia, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, United Emirates, Ireland, United Kingdom, Paraguay, Singapore, Japan and Guatemala.
Meekins will be holding a major absolute auction for HB Rowe & Company Inc., in Mount Airy, N.C., on May 26 beginning at 8:30 a.m.
