Jamie Foley, president and chief financial officer of Foley Incorporated, has announced that Jeff Merle was elected vice president of Machine Sales by the board of directors.
Merle started his career with Foley Incorporated in 1987. He started as a marketing trainee, moved into sales as a parts and service sales representative, and was later promoted to account manager in machinery sales.
In 2000, he took on the role of used equipment manager of Construction Machinery, and was promoted to general line sales manager in 2001.
In 2003, Merle advanced to his most recent position of general sales manager, Machinery Sales. In this position, he was responsible for the entire Construction Division Machinery Field Sales Force as well as internal operations.
In his expanded role, Merle will oversee all strategic business planning, resource allocation, and day to day operations of Construction Division Machinery Sales as well as the Foley Rents division.
According to Foley, “Jeff has raised the performance of our machinery sales department dramatically since he became general sales manager. Now as vice president, I am fully confident he will raise the bar even further, increasing the levels of customer satisfaction to unparalleled heights.”
