Metso Appoints Jonathan Allen as Chief Growth Officer

Metso appointed Jonathan Allen as chief growth officer. Effective May 1, 2026, Allen will oversee strategy, M&A, sustainability, marketing and more. With more than 20 years at Metso, Allen aims to drive company growth and uphold its vision to lead the industry.

Jonathan Allen has been appointed as Metso's chief growth officer, effective May 1, 2026, responsible for the business growth function consisting of strategy, mergers and acquisitions, AI, data and analytics, sustainability, safety, quality, communications and public affairs, marketing and brand and corporate procurement.

He will be a member of the Metso leadership team and will report to president and CEO Sami Takaluoma. Allen succeeds Claudia Genin, who will leave Metso by August 2026, as previously announced.

Allen joined Metso in 2005 and has most recently held the role of senior vice president, grinding, bulk, pyro and smelting business line and is part of the services business area leadership team. During his more than 20 years with Metso, he has held several leadership positions in France and the United States. He has a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Penn State University.
