The Midland Model SPD-6 road widener is designed to offer both right and left conveyor belt discharge as standard equipment. The SPD-6 has a 66 hp (49.2 kW) turbo diesel engine and a transport width of 10 ft. (3 m) wide. It is a larger version of the popular but smaller Midland SPR-6 unit right hand only discharge unit used by contractors and municipal road agencies needing a transport width of 8 ft. to 6 in. (2.6 m).
