Construction Equipment Guide

2004 was a hectic year for John O. Millonzi and the rest of the crew at Millonzi International Products Group Inc. and from all indications, 2005 won’t be much different.

Last June, Millonzi purchased 100 percent of the U.S.-based subsidiary of Falkenroth Fordertechnik GmBh & Co. Since then, Millonzi and his crew have renamed their organization, developed several new products and undertaken a move from its 10,000-sq.-ft. building to a new 54,000-sq.-ft. facility located at 3767 Lane Rd. Extension in Perry, OH.

All of this activity being conducted between several extensive business trips to establish agreements and develop manufacturing sources for products and components overseas.

To complement its own U.S.-based manufacturing facilities, Millonzi International Products Group has developed a worldwide supplier base. Its supply chain partners span the globe from Europe to Asia. Plans also are in the works for the company’s own foreign equity joint venture manufacturing unit.

Millonzi joined Falkenroth Inc. in 1998 as a turn around specialist. Prior to joining the company, Millonzi operated Great Lakes Fork Inc., a key wholesale distributor of products for Falkenroth Fordertechnik GmBh & Co, as well as the U.S.-based subsidiary. All told, Millonzi has 30 years of experience in the attachments industry.

Based on that experience, Millonzi felt the time was right to gain the independence needed to capitalize on emerging market opportunities through expanded product lines and new business relationships.

While the company looks forward to establishing the new relationships and opportunities that will fuel its growth, the folks at Millonzi International Products Group have taken great care to not loose sight of their established customers and supply chain partners.

For its customers, the transition has been seamless. Millonzi International Products Group’s 22 employees, including three at its Sales and Distribution office in Memphis, TN, and four at its Riverside, CA, facility, have worked diligently to keep their customers satisfied.

At the same time, work on product innovations and development has ensured that employees don’t get bored. Since June of last year when ownership of the company was transferred, it has developed more than 130 new products for the markets the company serves.

Those markets –– landclearing, site work, excavating, material handling and quarrying projects –– are proving to be fertile ground for application based product development.

Millonzi International Products Group’s approach is to provide its customers with the right tools for the job. Its products include fork arms for industrial lift trucks and construction equipment; grapples and grapple buckets for skid steers; and skid steer buckets, stone-fork buckets, fork/frame assemblies, excavator thumbs, Lehnhoff quick-coupler systems, bucket teeth and other wear parts accessories for all makes and models.
