Designed for use with backhoe loaders and excavators weighing between 17,637 and 39,683 lbs. (8,000 and 18,000 kg), the Montabert 501 Next Generation (501 NG) hydraulic breaker demolishes oversized boulders and thick concrete with ease — delivering up to 870 blows per minute. The all-purpose 501 NG falls within the 2,000 ft.-lb. impact energy class and requires a hydraulic flow rate between 21 and 37 gal. (79.5 and 140 L) per minute.
In comparison to hydraulic breakers of similar size, the 501 NG provides superior power-to-weight ratio and performance-improving features, including an energy recovery system that recycles recoil energy from the piston to increase strike power and blank-fire protection that reduces harmful metal-to-metal contact. The upper and lower suspension system absorbs harmful vibrations and stress waves, diminishing carrier wear and operator fatigue, according to the manufacturer.
Optional features include an automatic, cradle-mounted grease station that delivers continuous oil flow, reducing bushing and tool wear.
