More than 2,200 bidders participated online and in person at Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers’s multi-million dollar unreserved public equipment auction in North East, Md., on Oct. 28.

Bidders came from 50 countries, including all 50 U.S. states. More than 81 percent of the equipment was sold to out-of-state buyers, from as far away as Belgium, Spain and New Zealand. Online bidders purchased 47 percent of the equipment sold (by dollar value).

In total, more than 1,750 equipment items were sold in the auction.
