More than 3,000 bidders participated online and in person at Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers’ multi-million dollar unreserved public equipment auction in Chicago, Ill., on Dec. 13.

Bidders came from 49 countries, including 49 U.S. states. More than 70 percent of the equipment was sold to out-of-state buyers, from as far away as Saudi Arabia, Nigeria and Peru. Online bidders purchased more than 50 percent of the equipment sold (by dollar value).

In total, more than 1,600 equipment items were sold in the auction, including crawler tractors, excavators, articulated dump trucks, skid steer loaders and more.
