The return of significant residential projects throughout the counties served by Schlouch Incorporated provides a strong indication that economic recovery is well underway in our area. As the company moved through the first half of 2014, Schlouch’s residential crews are active on more than 200 acres of residential construction while still maintaining a strong presence in the commercial arena. Here is a sampling of the projects keeping SI teams busy:
Berks County
Forino Company named Schlouch Incorporated for the installation of curbing at Willow Glen, Phase 4, a residential community in Ontelaunee Township, Berks County, Pa. Work was completed in April 2014.
Miller Brothers Construction is having Schlouch Incorporated prepare a 3-acre site for Penn State Berks multi-purpose athletic field at Broadcasting Road and Route 222 in Spring Township, Berks County, Pa. Schlouch is providing clearing, grubbing, survey, stakeout, earthwork, sediment/erosion control, storm sewer, water line installation and paving. Work will be completed in the summer 2014.
Bucks County
J. P. Orleans Inc. named Schlouch Incorporated to prepare a 17-acre site for Scammell’s Corner, a residential development featuring 16 single-family detached homes. The site is located on Yardley Newtown Road, Lower Makefield Township, Bucks County, Pa. Schlouch is providing clearing, grubbing, survey, stakeout, demolition, blasting, rock removal, earthwork, sediment/erosion control, sanitary and storm sewers, water line installation, roads, curbs and paving. Work will be completed in the fall 2014.
Chester County
Charnwood Property Group LLC has selected Schlouch Incorporated to prepare the 32.5-acre site for Washington Square Phase 1A, 1B and PADOT improvements. The residential project at Bridge Street, East Vincent Township, Chester County, Pa., will feature 13 single-family homes and 31 townhouses. Schlouch is providing clearing, grubbing, survey, stakeout, demolition, rock removal, earthwork, sediment/erosion control, sanitary and storm sewers, water line installation, roads, building pads, curbs, paving and seeding. Work will be completed in the fall 2014.
J. P. Orleans Inc. named Schlouch Incorporated to prepare the 65-acre site in Charlestown Township, Chester County, Pa., for 184 residential units in its Spring Oak project. Schlouch is providing clearing, grubbing, survey, stakeout, demolition, blasting, earthwork, sediment/erosion control, sanitary and storm sewers, water line installation, roads, building pads, curbs, paving and seeding. Work will be completed in the fall 2014.
Lancaster County
Blue Rock Construction has named Schlouch Incorporated to prepare a 52-acre site for Urban Outfitters Internet Fulfillment Center on Route 30 and Brackbill Road, Gap, Lancaster County, Pa. Schlouch is providing clearing, grubbing, survey, stakeout, demolition, blasting, rock removal, earthwork, sediment/erosion control, sanitary and storm sewers, water line installation, concrete, curbs and paving. Work will be completed in Oct. 2014.
Montgomery County
The Hill School retained Schlouch Incorporated to prepare a parking lot for the stadium facility in Pottstown, Montgomery County, Pa. Schlouch is providing survey, stakeout, rock removal, earthwork, sediment/erosion control, storm sewer, water line installation, roads, curbs and paving. Work will be completed in the summer 2014.
Mikelen LLC has named Schlouch Incorporated to prepare an 8-acre site for 15 single-family homes on Rosenberry Road, New Hanover Township, Montgomery County, Pa. DelGrippo Enterprises is developer of the project named Rosenberry Ridge. Schlouch is providing survey, stakeout, rock removal, earthwork, sediment/erosion control, sanitary and storm sewers, roads, concrete, curbs, paving and seeding. Work was to be completed in the spring 2014.
Stone Creek Development Corporation has selected Schlouch Incorporated to prepare the site for Eagles Landing Phase 3B on Penn Allen Road, Upper Nazareth Township, Northampton County, Pa. Tuskes Homes is developing 39 single-family homes in Phase 3B. Schlouch is providing survey, stakeout, earthwork, sediment/erosion control, sanitary and storm sewers, water line installation, roads, curbs, paving and seeding. Work was to be completed in spring 2014.
The KRE Group selected Schlouch Incorporated to prepare the site for Madison Farms, a 103-acre site for commercial/residential use in Bethlehem Township, Northampton County, Pa. Schlouch is providing clearing, grubbing, survey, stakeout, demolition, blasting, earthwork, sediment/erosion control, sanitary and storm sewers, water line installation, curbs, paving, walls and line painting.
Commerce Construction Co. LP has named Schlouch Incorporated to prepare the site for Commerce Lot #2 for a 1.19 million sq. ft. building in the city of Bethlehem, Northampton County, Pa. Schlouch is providing clearing, grubbing, survey, stakeout, blasting, rock removal, earthwork, sanitary and storm sewers, water line installation, sediment/erosion control, building pad, curbs, paving and seeding. Work will be completed in the fall 2014.
