(L-R): Jack and Jim Brack of Brack Services were taking a look at this JD 750K with Andy Williams, John Deere regional manager. Sunny skies combined with a wet, muddy spot on the site allowed for testing out equipment in rough, yet not unpleasant, conditions. (L-R) Randy Whittaker, Nortrax, spent some time going over the features of the 672GP with Mark and Ted Bitomski of Asphalt Recycling Inc. This JD750K got the attention of Tom Elliot of Orlando Utilities. The chance to win a free weekly rental of this 319D track loader had a lot of people dropping their business cards off. (L-R): Mike Festing-Smith, vice-president southeast region of Nortrax, spent some time chatting with Andy Agoos, president of Agoos Consulting and Dave Steffens of Lane Construction Corp. Operators had the chance to show their skills by putting the ball on top of a traffic cone during the operator challenge.

Nortrax recently hosted a series of open houses at its full service facilities in Florida and Tennessee. The open houses gave them the opportunity to celebrate John Deere’s 175th Anniversary and show off the latest Deere equipment.

Those who attended the events enjoyed operating equipment, winning door prices, entering an operator contest and having lunch in addition to looking over a wide selection of Deere equipment.

Nortrax also took time to showcase the Deere Tier IV engines and demonstrate the Deere WorkSight electronic monitoring system. This system allows off-site diagnostics, payload data on trucks, grade control on dozers and graders, location monitoring and a wealth of other features. It also promoted the Web site as a place to find out all about Nortrax and what it has to offer.

Nortrax is the John Deere dealer in central and southern Florida, eastern Tennessee, Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire and part of New York. The corporate office is in Tampa, Fla.
