This 1993 Timberjack 2618 feller buncher was one of thousands of lots for sale at Petrowsky’s major public equipment auction. Matt Hubbard of Yankee Heritage in Middletown, Conn., previews a 2001 IH 4700 4x2 at Petrowsky headquarters and sale site in North Franklin, Conn. This bidder has his own private audience ready to watch him test out a 1987 Caterpillar CB-214 double drum roller. Backhoe loaders stretched down the center of the sale site, perfectly aligned for bidders to view. A line of excavators wait to make their way down the Petrowsky auction ramp on day-one of the two-day sale. On a chilly day in November, Petrowsky Auctioneers’s 25-acre auction facility provides its attendees with professional service and comfort with a drive-by ramp where equipment and vehicles pass. These three bidders attended the auction on Nov. 13 to inspect the equipment for sale from area contractors and equipment dealers. The two-day major public auction featured thousands of lots of equipment from area contractors and equipment dealers, including construction, earthmoving and paving equipment, trucks and trailers, landscaping and more.
