Danny Anderson, sales manager of Petrowsky Auctioneers Inc., wears many different “hats.” Today, he takes center stage at the podium and directs the crowd during the public auction. Mike Sherman (L), newly hired used equipment manager of Milton CAT, Milford, Mass., stands with Russ Kisseberth, used equipment sales representative, also of Milton CAT, get ready to follow the equipment going on the auction block. Ben Pluta of International Paver, Dayville, Conn., looks down from a 1986 TD20G crawler tractor during the preview on day two of the heavy equipment sale. Bryn Smith of The N.I.C.E. Company Inc., Bellingham, Mass., has found a comfortable seat inside Petrowsky Auctioneers’s sophisticated auction facility. Chris Kobyluck of Kobyluck Construction, Waterford, Conn., was all geared up to take on any rain and mud at the auction site on April 9. Herbert and Howard Bennett Jr. of Stafford Springs, Conn., browse just a sampling of the thousands of lots that would be up for sale during the three-day auction. Joseph Amorello of A.F. Amorello, established in 1914 and based in Worcester, Mass., came ready to buy equipment … maybe even this 2001 Caterpillar 938G rubber-tired loader. Russ Randall, equipment operator of Petrowsky Auctioneers Inc., finds a seat in a 2002 John Deere 650H crawler tractor to eat some lunch and stay dry from the rain.
