Putzmeister has announced its latest advancements in the areas of concrete spraying, mixing and transporting equipment for mining with the introduction of the SPM 4210 WETKRET series and the Putzmeister MIXKRET 4.

Designed and manufactured by Putzmeister, the SPM 4210 WETKRET series’ reinforced spraying arm provides a vertical spraying reach of nearly 33 ft. (10 m), while the maximum concrete output of the double-piston pump mounted on the equipment is nearly 26 cu. yd. per hour (20 cu m per hour). Its proportional remote control can be operated both by cable and remote control, allowing for easy operation of the spraying arm, regulation of the concrete output, and adjustment of the dosing pump. The SPM 4210’s axles and reinforced turning system allow it to accommodate the rough working conditions in mining.

“The new SPM 4210 incorporates numerous new design changes, from the chassis to the spray arm,” said Patrick Bridger, president of Putzmeister Shotcrete Technology. “Additionally, it is now offered in various power configurations, which gives users more application options.”

The SPM 4210 WETKRET series includes three versions that are designed in accordance with different job site requirements, allowing the equipment to be used in various working environments. The electrically operated, standard version includes an on-board air compressor. The dual drive version has a dual operating system, allowing all of its components to be operated either by diesel or electrically. This version also is available with an on-board air compressor. Finally, the rotor version works with a rotor pump, which allows the equipment to be used for both the wet and dry spraying process. It also includes an on-board air compressor.

Designed to improve efficiency in the concrete spraying process in mining, Putzmeister’s new MIXKRET 4 low-profile concrete mixer provides a concrete transport capacity of 4.4 cu. yd. (4 cu m) and includes a liquid additive tank for transporting and transferring additives to the shotcrete equipment. Equipped with a six-cylinder, 176 hp (130 kW) engine, the machine offers significant climbing and moving power, as well as the ability to work at high altitudes. The MIXKRET 4’s cab, mounted in machine direction, along with the night-vision camera at the rear, facilitate its maneuverability and ensure visibility at all times. Its compact design and modern axles provide enhanced mobility and maneuverability in narrow galleries and tunnels, while its hydrostatic transmission with stepless variable gear motor ensures an ideal torque to speed ratio. Additionally, the MIXKRET 4 features an automatic speed control system for moving down slopes fully loaded and traveling at the maximum secure speed.

“The new MIXKRET 4 is a great addition to our product offering,” said Bridger. “Not only is it a concrete hauler, but it also is a mixer/transport machine ideal for blending fibers into the concrete.”
