Utility employees from 15 states visited the 2012 MEGA Utility Equipment Expo Sept. 12-13 at the Treasure Island Resort and Casino in Red Wing, Minn.

The exhibit featured 57 companies that showed utility equipment, ranging from screwdrivers to huge truck-mounted hydraulic platforms. In addition to the large equipment portion of the expo, a variety of companies showed products including outrigger pads and services, such as testing. Among the main appeals of the expo is the opportunity for a hands-on experience with products and equipment. Attendees were encouraged to ride the bucket trucks, test drive vehicles, and try out the latest, high-tech equipment.
