Wendell Cain, Cain & Todd Equipment, Lilburn, Ga., was deep in thought about bidding on this CAT 140G motorgrader. Lance (L) and Barry Pruitt of Pruitt Brothers Logging, Killen, Ala., were in serious discussions about this Cat 930H wheel loader in the sale lineup. Going under the hood for a better look at the power plant of an Ingersoll Rand SD116 soil compactor are A.J. Long (L), A.J. Long Excavating, Clinton, Tenn., and his dad, Gary Long,, Anderson County Tennessee road superintendent, also in Clinton, Tenn. Looking like they were having an all-around good time while inspecting machines, including this Cat D6H, are Bill Greer (L), Shelton Greer Construction, Columbia, Ky., and Ivan Greer, Ivan Greer Excavating, Glens Fork, Ky. Guy Hommel Jr. (L), Junior Hommel Excavating, Newport, Tenn., monitors the pricing on 19 pieces of equipment he consigned to the sale with his good friend and auctioneer Dewain Ritchason, president of Ritchason Auctioneers. Looking over the operator’s controls and checking the hour meter in the cab of a Cat D5G XL are Dylan Stephens (L) and Mike Hutchins, Stephens Construction, McMinnville, Tenn. The old Cat dozers, including this mid-1970s model D8H are still highly sought after machines and John Blevins (L), Blevins Enterprises, Altamont, Tenn., and William Henley, independent contractor, Decherd, Tenn., looked this one over carefully. The combination of a comfortably warm December Saturday and a great turnout made for a great environment for Ritchason Auctioneers’ final sale for 2012 at its Lebanon, Tenn., auction headquarters.

Ritchason Auctioneers Inc. conducted its final sale for the 2012 auctioning year at its company headquarters in Lebanon, Tenn., on Dec. 1. A great turnout of registered bidders came out on a picture perfect (and actually warm) December Saturday to bid on hundreds of lots of machines, vehicles, trailers and other miscellaneous items. Approximately 80 different companies consigned machines in this sale.

Proxibid representatives were on-site for online bidding, and during the morning announcements company president Dewain Ritchason mentioned a new service that they will be launching in January 2013: Ritchason Auctioneers-On Line Auctions. Stay tuned to Construction Equipment Guide for more information about this service, or contact Ritchason Auctioneers at 615/444-5464.
