Gerardo Locusen (L) and Peter Franz came from Chihuahua, Mexico, to bid on the Cat 330B excavator pictured here. Locusen operates DGA Transport, a heavy equipment transport company.

California contractor Victor Bermudez is looking for compaction equipment and a backhoe loader. The Deere 310G loader has his interest.

The auction featured many backhoe loaders. Jorge Arambula of El Paso’s Power Concrete checks out a Deere 310G.

Dallas Jacobsen (L) of Epic Interests and Brian Blanchard of Integrated Machinery traveled from Buckeye, Ariz., to bid on this Cat 950F wheel loader.

Dave Taylor of Deming, N.M., is looking for a roller for use at his RV park. He plans to bid on this Multiquip compactor.

Allan Barraza (L) and Jorge Chavez represented Leopardo Truck Parts of El Paso, Texas. They were interested in this Cat 135H motorgrader.

More than 1,100 bidders participated online and in person at Ritchie Bros.' multi-million dollar unreserved public equipment auction in El Paso, Texas, on Nov. 22, 2016.

With bidders from 37 countries, approximately 59 percent of the equipment in the auction was sold to out-of-state buyers, from as far away as the Netherlands, Australia and the United Arab Emirates. Online bidders purchased approximately 55 percent of the equipment sold (by dollar value).

Hundreds of equipment items and trucks were sold in the auction, including compactors, dozers, motorgraders, loader backhoes, excavators, cranes, truck tractors, trailers and more. CEG
