Ritchie Bros. Hosts ’Texas-Sized’ Auction in Fort Worth

Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers has completed its largest ever North American auction in Fort Worth, TX, according to the company. The three-day auction, conducted on Sept. 19, 20 and 21, 2000 generated gross auction sales of more than $45 million. All three days of the auction were broadcast live over the Internet.

The auction was attended by 2,164 registered bidders from 42 states, 8 Canadian provinces and 17 other countries. More than 3,000 items were sold over the course of the sale. Bidders from outside the state of Texas made more than 57 percent of the purchases.

Featured equipment in the Fort Worth auction included 108 crawler tractors, 63 wheel loaders, 95 hydraulic excavators, 199 truck tractors, 72 dump trucks, 100 loader backhoes, 68 pipelayers and 54 skid steer loaders.
