Roland Machinery Promotes Brunson, Germann, McNamara

The three employees will employ their large amount of experience to expand the reach of the company.

Roland Machinery recently promoted three employees: Mike Brunson, Jay Germann and Mike McNamara.

Mike Brunson

Mike Brunson, Roland employee for more than 31 years, has been promoted to general manager of Allied Products in Springfield, Ill. He will be responsible for supporting the sales staff in promoting the different Allied Manufacturers that Roland represents such as Wirtgen, Hamm, Vogele, Kleeman, Sennebogen, LeeBoy, Rosco, Doosan, Atlas Copco and Gradall products.

In addition, he will support sales in product presentations to customers, pricing and inventory control, coordination with the parts and service departments and communication and relationships with manufacturers.

“I look forward to expanding our reach into these markets.

“Through my years with Roland, I have developed successful relationships with manufacturers including, R.W.F. Bron, Tesmec, and the Wirtgen Group. I hope to draw on those experiences in order to keep Roland and our partners, both manufacturers and customers, growing and profitable,” said Brunson.

Jay Germann

Also of the Springfield, Ill., division, Jay Germann has been promoted to general manager.

Germann, who has worked in all areas of the dealership since 1997, will work directly with Komatsu America to promote the growth of Komatsu sales in Roland Machinery’s five state regions.

“I am pleased to take on this position at this time in my career and want to thank Ray and Matt Roland for the opportunities they have provided.

“I am confident my well rounded experience will help me lead the Springfield Division to ensure sales and product support growth as we move into the future,” said Germann.

“I am looking forward to teaming with Komatsu America to provide our sales staff with the right product and programs to continue increasing Komatsu market presence in our five state region,” he continued.

Mike McNamara

Mike McNamara has been promoted to the general manager position of the Chicago division, Komatsu, Wirtgen products. McNamara oversees all of Chicago divisions marketing and sales functions as well as the day-to-day operations at RMC — Chicago. During his time at Roland, McNamara has served as major account manager and division sales manager.

Prior to a career in heavy machinery sales, McNamara spent 16 years in civil construction. Beginning as a laborer during summers while in College, he advanced to project manager/estimator in the Chicago market. His main focus is using his past experience in understanding the day-to-day challenges contractors face, and best utilizing the available resources to help customers drive profitability, while placing an emphasis on safety, quality, productivity and efficiency.

Along with his experience, McNamara has completed the highest levels of Komatsu’s and Wirtgen America’s product training.
