Montreal-based Major Wire Industries Limited has named Jerry Teague as its new territory manager of the south central United States and Puerto Rico. Teague will work directly with Major Wire authorized dealers and aggregate, mining and recycle customers in Arkansas, southern Illinois, eastern Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Mississippi, eastern Nebraska, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas (excluding El Paso) and the U.S. Territory of Puerto Rico to provide advanced screening solutions designed to increase screening capacity and throughput. Teague is no stranger to the crushing and screening industry, having served for five years as a G.W. Van Keppel Co. sales specialist for the Missouri aggregate industry and most recently as crushing and screening manager at Custom Truck & Equipment serving customers in Missouri, Kansas and surrounding states.

As Major Wire’s newest territory manager, Teague will offer the company’s revolutionary Flex-Mat 3 tensioned and modular high-performance, self-cleaning screen media technology. Flex-Mat 3’s independently vibrating wires increase product throughput by up to 40 percent over traditional woven wire or polyurethane/rubber panels by increasing open area and eliminating blinding, pegging and clogging. Teague also will recommend Major Wire’s OptimumWire woven wire, which provides up to 40 percent longer wear life when compared to traditional woven wire of the same diameter. Delivering a combination of ductility, hardness and tensile strength, OptimumWire is less susceptible to breaking in high-impact conditions and with highly abrasive materials, so it lasts longer and minimizes labor, maintenance and lost production costs, according to the manufacturer.

Teague also will work with Major Wire to conduct on-site screening plant audits for customers at no cost that will clearly identify where and how an operation can produce more material for less cost.
