SEATTLE (AP) Sound Transit said it’s on track to open a light rail line between Seattle and Tukwila on July 3, reaching Sea-Tac Airport by the end of the year.

But The Seattle Times reports construction delays and bad weather have wiped out a 180-day cushion in the schedule.

The Times also reports the $2.4 billion project apparently will have $125 million left over to be spent on planned extensions.
