Southern Industrial Constructors and Southern Crane, full-service industrial contractors, have appointed Earle Allen as a project manager in their Raleigh facility.

In his new role, Allen is responsible for estimating and bidding on new projects, especially plant relocations. He also manages all operational aspects of existing projects, including personnel and equipment availability, costs and performance.

In his 20-year career, Allen has managed jobs involving fabrication, welding, rigging, plant relocation and new plant layouts in the United States and Mexico, and has extensive rigging experience in moving mold injection machinery. Prior to joining Southern Industrial, he worked in a planning and managerial capacity at Honeywell Performance Fibers in New Hill, N.C.

“Earle has a great deal of hands-on experience and knowledge within our industry,” said Rocky Springer, vice president. “We’re glad he’s part of the Southern Industrial family.”

Founded in 1962, Southern Industrial provides a wide range of services throughout the Southeast, including turnkey industrial construction, industrial electrical construction, turnkey plant installations and relocations, rigging, millwright and machinery moving services, process and utility piping, precision concrete construction, structural and specialty steel fabrication and erection, and complete plant maintenance services.

Because of their exemplary safety records, both Southern Industrial and Southern Crane are among the few companies in North Carolina recognized as STAR contractors by the N.C. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Division.
