Stage 8, an active mechanical locking systems manufacturer has joined forces with Shopatron, a provider of eCommerce order management.

Shopatron order exchange allows branded manufacturers and multi-channel retailers to seamlessly leverage the available inventory of every retail storefront and distribution center when fulfilling online orders. Unlike legacy order management software or custom-built solutions, Shopatron makes it easy and affordable to deploy advanced capabilities like in-store pickup, ship-from-store, inventory lookup and vendor drop-ship, according to the manufacturer.

“Shopatron has revolutionized the way retail channels work together to put products in the hands of online shoppers,” said Robert Ahern, manager of Stage 8. “We have been looking for a seamless way to expand both online and retail sales. With Shopatron we support our retailers while delivering a superior purchasing experience to online shoppers.”

Shopatron also provides:

• Flexible eCommerce

• Retailer order fulfillment

• Payment processing and fraud management

• Consumer order support

• Online and affiliate marketing

• Multi-country and currency

“Stage 8 customers will still access the company Web site where the sale will be made,” Ahern explained. “That order is then assigned to the closest stocking retailer and the customer receives their package by post or may choose to pick it up in-store.”

Founded in 1985, Stage 8 manufactures many types of active, fail-safe mechanical locking fasteners. In 2012 Stage 8 received the approval of the Association of American Railroads (AAR) Wheels, Axles, Bearings & Lubrication (WABL) Committee for its cap screw locking system, a product that represents the first significant improvement in roller bearing end cap locking systems in more than 55 years.

Stage 8 services GE Locomotive, Link-Belt cranes, Caterpillar, NASA, Oshkosh, Ford Racing, BAE Systems, Stolle Machinery and more.
