Stellar Industries has restructured a portion of its sales department. The position of inside sales manager was created and accepted by Keith Formanek, who previously managed the Midwest U.S. Region.

Formanek’s new job responsibilities include being the liaison between the sales, engineering and production departments, auditing customer orders, assisting regional sales managers while they’re on the road, managing the Stellar demo and work ready pool, fielding incoming customer inquiries (both current and new), and directing end users to the proper regional sales manager and/or distributor.

Replacing Formanek in the Midwestern states is Gary Hanson. Hanson formerly covered the Western region of the United States and Canada. Replacing Hanson in the West is Stellar’s new hire, Steve Jones.

Jones will be covering the Western United States and Western Canadian territories. He comes to Stellar from Bob’s Services, an authorized Stellar truck equipment distributor, located in Anchorage, AK, where he spent 15 years as a sales manager. Jones was responsible for daily sales activities with a focus on governmental sales.

Jones’ new responsibilities at Stellar will include managing the distribution network of the Western United States and Canada, while focusing on quality expansion of market share through our current and future distributors.

“After spending 20 years in Alaska where the saying is ’we don’t do it that way in Alaska,’ I’m looking forward to seeing how it’s done in the lower 48 states,” said Jones. “I think my biggest challenge will be balancing the desired time in the field with distributors against the required demands from the factory.”

Stellar Industries Inc. also has announced the hiring of a new team member, Joyce Pletcher, as junior buyer.

Pletcher comes to Stellar from Fertilizer Equipment Specialists Inc. as the business manager. She was employed there for five years and was responsible for many aspects of the business, including accounts payable, receivables, sales invoicing, payroll and assisting sales as needed. Pletcher also spent nine years at Iowa Mold Tooling Co., six as a junior buyer, and six years in the warranty department at Winnebago Industries.

Pletcher will have a wide range of buying responsibilities at Stellar to include office supplies and equipment, truck equipment, including hardware and lift gates, and handling all buying for custom orders.

“Her past experience as a business manager for FES and as a junior buyer for IMT is a real asset for our company,” said Margaret Tue, purchasing manager, “She’s a welcome addition to the Stellar team.”

“I look forward to bringing Stellar a wide range of knowledge that I have obtained from my past work experience,” Pletcher said, “and 1 look forward to the challenges of learning the functions and best applications of the purchased parts in the manufacturing process.”
