Stephen S. Keesler Dies at 63

Mr. Keesler was a long-time member of the Delaware Vallet Associated Equipment Distributors and served on its board of directors.

Stephen S. Keesler of Port St. Lucie, Fla., died April 5 at Port St. Lucie Medical Center, after a brief battle with ALS. He was 63.

Born in Prospect Park, Pa., he was the beloved husband of Jennifer L. Tuerk Keesler; son of the late Frederick and Mary Adams Keesler; and beloved husband of the late Eleanor Williston Keesler; and father of the late Megan Keesler.

Mr. Keesler was a resident of Southampton, Pa., for the past 35 years before moving to Port St. Lucie, Fla.

Mr. Keesler was a graduate of the Pennington School and Marietta College with a degree in Political Science.

He followed in his father and grandfather’s footsteps and had been a senior executive with C.C. and F.F. Keesler, in Prospect Park, Pa., for many years until his retirement in 2011.

He also was a long-time member of the Delaware Vallet Associated Equipment Distributors and served on its board of directors.

C.C. & F.F. Keesler was a full-service dealer, representing Rogers Brothers Trailers, National Crane, P & H and Terex Cranes. Stephenson Equipment acquired the business in 2009

Mr. Keesler was very active in all sports and in 2008 he was elected to the Football Hall of Fame at the Pennington School in Pennington, N.J., for his outstanding contribution to the game and his school. He also played ice hockey and softball.

In his leisure time, Mr. Keesler looked forward to going to his home in Ocean City, N.J., and spending quiet time fishing.

In addition to his beloved wife, Jennifer, he is survived by his sons, James J. Keesler and his wife, Amy; and Stephen S. Keesler Jr. and his wife, Margaret.

He also is survived by his stepdaughter, Chelsey Rosengrant; his brother and sister, Rick Keesler and his wife, Bernadette; Patty Keesler and Bill Murphy; and his four dear grandchildren, Jarrett, Connor, Ellie and Alicia.
