TechniVate Inc. supplies customers across the southeast of Pennsylvania and Delaware with a range of site development services.

TechniVate makes use of more than 50 different types of heavy machinery in its work, ranging from small backhoes to scrapers and pans, to dozers and excavators.

Through this machinery, the company and its staff of 135 has been able to provide a high quality service for its residential and commercial customers, but with the introduction of crushing and screening machinery, TechniVate has been able to achieve new market penetration into the quarrying industry.

After deciding on the Extec range of screens and crushers TechniVate was supported through the buying process by Screen Service Technology/Extec Eastern.

The introduction of this machinery has now allowed TechniVate to expand further, supporting the company in its current work at the Avondale quarry site. TechniVate purchased an S-5 screen, C-10 jaw crusher and X44 SBS cone crusher, offering the company power and durability, and helping to develop the surrounding area with products for the quarry site.

The processed materials gained in the quarry can be reused for a variety of purposes, creating products for railroads and for general sales, as well as a usable sand fill product. While many of these products could be resold, the main use that TechniVate has found for this aggregate product is in-house. By incorporating the refined materials into its development and site regeneration services the company can greatly reduce its overall costs.

The S-5 uses a variable speed conveyor and feeder to allow for better feed control. Through the Doublescreen box, efficiency and productivity can be maximized over a wide range of products as the Doublescreen box allows for more than twenty different screening angles. Screening efficiency is maximized as material flow is directed by the angle of the screen box.

The use of a full hydraulic drive system on the C-10 ensures that even on difficult materials such as in heavy quarry applications, simple controls and the ability to reverse crush allow for reductions in maintenance times and productivity increases. The Cat C6.6 engine offers power while maintenance procedures are enhanced through a full hydraulic lifting system, increasing accessibility to the entire machine.

The new X44 SBS cone crusher from Extec is suited to quarry applications. By integrating this machine, TechniVate has been able to make use of features such as a Cat C-13 engine and Telsmith cone unit, offering an effective crushing action with power and efficiency. Also, through the use of an automatic feed control system optimal levels of material can be constantly fed to the cone, further increasing efficiency, according to the manufacturer.
