In January, the employees of Trico Lift, a full-service aerial work platform provider, achieved 12 consecutive months without any lost work time or recordable incidents.

“This type of accomplishment proves we can reach our vision to be the best,” company President Ken Pustizzi said. “Safety is a journey and though there are no finish lines, there are always milestones worth celebrating. This is the third time we are celebrating 12 consecutive months and once again it is a testament to the diligence of our team and their commitment to safety.”

Trico Lift employees achieved 24 consecutive months of safe work performance in 2008. “We never lose sight of our zero injury and risk prevention targets and here we are celebrating once again,” said Vice President of Safety Steve Phillips.

According to Phillips, achieving zero recordable incidences is defined by OSHA as meaning the company did not have any incidences which required more than basic first aid or which resulted in any lost work time. Phillips said several programs are in place to ensure everyone stays focused on Trico Lift’s safety goal.

“Accident prevention measures such as job safety analyses, reviewing near misses and incidents, examining root causes and implementing necessary controls to prevent future occurrences are all common practices among our team,” he added.

Headquartered in New Jersey, Trico Lift has been renting, selling and servicing lift equipment for more than 30 years. The company serves the aerial work platform markets in the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Midwest and, more recently, in the Gulf regions.

The company has received industry recognition for its equipment inspection program and numerous awards and honors including a recent Contractor Merit Safety Award presented by the National Petrochemical & Refiners Association for Trico Lift’s safe work performance.
