Tutor Perini Corp., a civil, building and specialty construction company, announced on July 16, 2026, that its subsidiary, Tutor Perini Building Corp. (TPBC), was selected by the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma for its $140 million renovation and expansion project of Choctaw Casino & Resort – Pocola in Pocola, Okla.

The scope of work includes interior and exterior renovations of the existing hotel and casino, including all food and gaming venues, as well as construction of a new adjacent seven-story, 130-room hotel tower with a spa, fitness center and pool complex.

Renovations to the existing 118-room hotel will include new carpet, lighting, bathroom fixtures and furnishings, according to indiangaming.com.

New carpeting and lighting will be added to the casino floor, registration area and restrooms, while the poker room, off-track betting and rewards club will be relocated. The resort's restaurants and bars will be rebranded and refreshed with updated menus.

TPBC has worked on the project's preconstruction phase since 2025, and construction work is expected to start in the third quarter of 2026.

"Choctaw has long been a proud part of this region, growing alongside the community and contributing to its vitality and success," Gary Batton, chief of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma told indiangaming.com. "As the largest employer in LeFlore County and the second-largest resort in the Choctaw Casinos & Resort portfolio, Choctaw – Pocola plays a vital role in driving economic growth and opportunity in this region. This investment will allow us to welcome more guests while delivering an even higher level of hospitality and resort experience."
