The Caterpillar 247B is a compact track loader designed for material handling, grading, site preparation, and general construction work. It features a compact frame, rubber track undercarriage, and vertical lift path for improved reach at truck height and loading applications. The 247B is commonly used in landscaping, utility work, agriculture, and light demolition where traction and low ground pressure are important. Caterpillar equipped the model with a diesel engine, hydraulic attachment capability, and a cab or canopy operator station depending on configuration. The 247B remains a recognized Cat compact track loader for versatile jobsite performance.
