The Caterpillar D6R LGP is a crawler dozer designed for low ground pressure applications in soft, wet, or unstable terrain. Built on Caterpillar's D6 platform, the LGP configuration uses wider tracks to reduce ground pressure and improve flotation while maintaining dozing performance. It is commonly used in land clearing, site preparation, road building, and grading work where traction and surface protection are important. The D6R LGP typically features a diesel engine, hydrostatic or powershift drivetrain depending on configuration, and a heavy-duty undercarriage suited to demanding earthmoving conditions.
