The Caterpillar D8K is a heavy crawler dozer produced by Caterpillar for earthmoving, grading, and site preparation work. Built as part of the D8 series, the D8K is known for its large frame, high drawbar pull, and suitability for demanding construction, mining, and land clearing applications. It typically uses a diesel engine, steel track undercarriage, and a front-mounted dozer blade for pushing and leveling material. The D8K was widely used in heavy civil and industrial operations and remains recognized as a durable older model in the crawler dozer category.
