It is part of Caterpillar's small excavator lineup and is commonly used in landscaping, construction, municipal maintenance, and site preparation. The 308 typically features a reduced tail swing design, hydraulic versatility, and compatibility with a range of buckets and attachments. Its size allows transport between jobsites while maintaining digging performance for small to medium earthmoving tasks.
