The JCB 48Z-1 is a compact mini excavator designed for construction, landscaping, utility, and site preparation work. It is part of JCB's zero-tail-swing 4.8-ton class, offering improved maneuverability in confined spaces and reduced risk of rear overhang contact. The machine typically features a conventional excavator layout with a spacious operator station, responsive hydraulic controls, and compatibility with a range of buckets and attachments. The 48Z-1 is used for digging, trenching, grading, and material handling on urban and residential job sites.
