A high-pressure water system, tanks with lifetime warranties and an intelligent control system are featured on the new AllExcavate hydro excavator, which was introduced by Vacall.

“Vacall is exceptionally proud to have introduced our AllExcavate hydro excavator,” said Bill Petrole, vice president of Vacall products for Gradall Industries Inc. “Its top-of-the-line performance and efficient operation allows for very efficient excavation around water, sewer, gas and utility lines, as well as other critical excavation tasks.”

The AllExcavate’s high-pressure water system not only conserves water usage and minimizes refill time, but it also breaks up material very productively using a wand that delivers a high-pressure stream, according to the manufacturer.

Water pumps are available in 10, 15 and 20 gpm (37.8, 56.7 and 75.7 L) with 3,000 to 3,500 psi.

“To protect critical components from weather, and to enhance their reliability, we’ve enclosed the water system, wand and control panel in a heated compartment that also has spaces for tools and worker apparel,” said Petrole.

A new AllSmartFlow CAN bus intelligent control system has a programmable LCD display that monitors engine, water-flow and vacuum performance while allowing for more precise boom and reel adjustments. A fully proportional pendant, either wired or wireless, is programmable to ensure productive control away from the chassis.

Water tanks are fabricated with aircraft-quality aluminum for extra strength and a lifetime warranty. They are mounted high on the chassis, reducing damage from debris and eliminating any relocation needed to dump the debris tank.

A rugged, oval-shaped debris body with cylindrical sides is designed for extra strength and material dumping.

“Vacall also offers an optional flush system for the AllExcavate. It cleans the interior of the body, leaving no need for operator spraying assistance — a real convenience,” said Petrole.

Tougher than conventional liquid paint, powder-coat paint gives the AllExcavate a durable finish; while the optional galvanized tank carries a lifetime warranty.

“A one-of-a-kind, multi-stage, vacuum filtration system has a simplified design to reduce maintenance and extend operating life,” said Petrole.

In the filtration system, material is deposited into the debris body while air continues to move through a dual cyclone separator that removes material particles and moisture.

A hydro boom that loads debris is located at the rear of the chassis. The 8-ft., 6-in. (2.6 m) telescoping boom reaches at a 320-degree radius, allowing the operator to work on different jobs without having to reposition the chassis.

The excavator also is equipped with a simple tailgate design.

“With use of a single control, the operator can perform several functions,” said Petrole. “They can open, close and lock the tailgate. Reverse slope-lock wedges tighten under weight of a load and a D-ring gasket and shimmed hinge points create a superior seal.”
