Vac•Con Hosts 24th Annual Dealer Meeting

Vac•Con Inc. hosted its 24th annual dealer meeting at the Renaissance World Golf Village Resort in St. Augustine, Fla. The four-day event kicked off with a meet and greet on March 20 and concluded with lunch on March 23. The annual meeting featured product demonstrations, plant tours, information sessions and annual awards.

The second day of the meeting was filled with informational sessions that covered a variety of different topics including product improvement and marketing. The afternoon was capped off with a little fun as Vac•Con employees and dealers enjoyed a golf outing at the Slammer and Squire golf course. An evening dinner banquet followed, during which Vac•Con recognized its vendors and the day’s golf awards were presented.

The third day of the meeting was filled with all day plant tours and product demonstrations. Vac•Con displayed various machines throughout the plant and demonstrated the various systems on the machines. The informational sessions also covered a variety of material on existing products, changes to those existing products and things to look for in the future. Vac•Con personnel conducted question and answer sessions and went into further detail on the machines and its specific components and systems.

The much anticipated dealer awards ceremony was held on March 22. Vac•Con Inc. presented awards to many of the dealers in its network and recognized Vac•Con and dealer employees for distinguished achievement. Categories included rookie of the year, service award, parts award and the Top Ten Dealer Awards.

The No. 1 dealer for 2011 was Municipal Maintenance Equipment (MME), representing Vac•Con in California. MME has been a Vac•Con dealer for 20 years. Southern Sewer Equipment Sales, the Florida representative for Vac•Con, located in Ft. Pierce, was No. 2 for 2011. The Top Ten dealers are recognized for their performance in machine and replacement parts sales.
