Virnig Manufacturing Inc. announced a new poly edge option.
A polyethylene cutting edge option has been recently added to Virnig Manufacturing’s snow attachment lineup. These cutting edges are extremely durable and have been rigorously tested to meet Virnig’s high standards, according to the manufacturer. This option is compatible with new and old Virnig angle snow blades and light-duty angle snow blades.
The 1 by 7 ¾ in. (2.5 by 19.7 cm) poly edge option is made from UHMW (ultra high molecular weight) polyethylene. It is reversible and replaceable and allows 5 ¼ in. (13 cm) of total wear. Poly is lighter and more flexible than steel but more rigid than rubber. It also wears comparable to a steel edge in snowy or wet conditions, according to the manufacturer.
Virnig also offers rubber edges for snow blades. Virnig cutting edges are pre-drilled and ready for installation. Replacement kits are available.
All Virnig products are backed by a one-year warranty, and the skid steer attachments are built with a universal mount to fit most skid steer loaders including: Bobcat, Caterpillar, ASV, Case, Daewoo, Gehl, JCB, John Deere, Kubota, Mustang, New Holland, Takeuchi, Terex, Volvo, Wacker-Neuson and others.
