On Oct. 21, 2010, Volvo Rents officially launched a new Volvo Rents location in Baton Rouge, La., with a grand opening celebration. JPS Equipment is one of five stores owned and operated by Paul and Penny Bullock. The location’s address is 36326 Highway 30, Geismar, La. 70734. Phone 225/744-4116.

The Bullock family is recognized by their clients for their client care and has been named Volvo Rents’ Franchise of the Year for four years in a row during the Volvo Rent’s Circle of Excellence Awards in 2010.

The grand opening included a fried fish and shrimp lunch with approximately 300 attendees, along with many local contractors involved in the construction, agricultural and other local industries. Also on hand were equipment vendors to answer any questions about the wide range of equipment available to rent. Door prizes — including a 4-wheeler and two televisions — also were handed out to several lucky winners.

This new location will provide rental customers in Baton Rouge and surrounding counties with faster access to equipment delivery and service. In addition to Volvo Construction equipment, the center will carry a comprehensive line of essential equipment and tools for the construction, commercial, industrial and homeowner markets. Principal Volvo products for its rental centers include the company’s extensive line of compact excavators, wheel loaders, backhoe and skid steer loaders.

Volvo Rents, a division of Volvo Construction Equipment, the third largest construction equipment manufacturer in the world, operates 71 rental stores in North America, 89 rental stores in Europe, five rental stores in India, one rental store in Thailand, one rental store in the Philippines and one in Mexico. Volvo Rents franchises its rental centers in North America.
