Volvo Trucks will unveil the all-new Volvo VNX on Oct.14, 2026, offering the first look at the next-generation vocational truck.
With a new design and a focus on strength and durability, the Volvo VNX will be unlike anything Volvo Trucks has brought to the North American market before, according to the company.
The reveal will take place during a live-streamed event on Oct.14, 2026 at 1 pm EST. Purpose-built for the toughest job sites in construction, infrastructure and heavy-haul, the truck marks the company's biggest push yet into the vocational segment.

Ramping Up Vocational
Volvo Trucks leads the vocational and construction segments in many markets globally, including in Northern Europe and Latin America. That global expertise is now landing in North America, in a truck designed and built from the ground up for this market.
Volvo also brings something no other manufacturer can: Volvo Construction Equipment has built and sold construction machines in the US for more than 50 years, providing significant experience within the Volvo Group building equipment for the toughest job sites.
"We know our customers expect their trucks to perform day in and day out in challenging conditions," said Voorhoeve. "As the only OEM in North America that builds both construction equipment and construction trucks, we bring a unique understanding of how work gets done on the job site."
Drivers work with people on foot around the truck, excavators and loaders moving nearby, tight urban sites, uneven terrain and limited sightlines. Volvo will detail the all-new Volvo VNX advanced safety systems, including its active safety technology and passive safety design, at the reveal.
Built for a Segment
The timing couldn't be better, with infrastructure spending and a new generation of industrial and energy megaprojects driving a surge in Class 8 vocational demand. Power generation construction spending is expected to grow nearly 10 percent annually through 2030, according to FMI, a leading construction industry research firm.
Federal funding continues to flow into the country's roads and bridges, with states already committing more than $270 billion in highway and bridge investment, according to the American Road & Transportation Builders Association.
The all-new Volvo VNX will be revealed in a digital event on Oct.14, 2026 at 1 pm ET.
