Wal-Mart Builds Its Second Environment-Friendly Store

Workers unload a trailer filled with pieces of a windmill that will be put up at a new Wal-Mart in Aurora, CO, on Nov. 4, that will make the experimental store only the second in the nation to be built using an environmental sustainable design. The 50-kW wind turbine will reduce the electricity consumption of the store by 1.25 percent over the conventional stores in Wal-Mart’s chain.
