Wall Collapse Injures Four

MERRIMAC, Mass. (AP) - Police say four people were injured after a wall collapsed during the construction of a home in northeastern Massachusetts.

Authorities were called to the Merrimac home at around 1 p.m. Tuesday.

Police Chief Eric Shears says a second-floor wall of the home fell, crushing several workers. Three were taken to the hospital with serious injuries. A fourth person suffered minor injuries. All are expected to survive.

The Merrimac building inspector and workplace regulators are working to determine the cause of the collapse.
