Weiler, a manufacturer of road building equipment, is introducing the E1250 remixing transfer vehicle.
The E1250 is a heavy built self-propelled unit powered by a Cat C7 250-hp (186 kW) engine. The E1250’s drive train consists of two hydrostats and four drive motors and planetaries, which allow the unit to have a low center of gravity and tight turning radius. This also eliminates the need for a gear box in the drive system giving the operator the capability to shift from working speed to transport speed on the fly.
The E1250 also features drop out floors in the elevator, remix hopper, and conveyor making clean up and maintenance much easier. The controls feature tilt-wheel steering and ergonomic positions of controls as well as the ability to operate the unit from either side of the machine by simply lifting a spring-loaded pin.
The unit also offers a remix hopper with twin interlaced 16-in. (40.6 cm) diameter segmented augers.
The remix hopper offers a true remix since the augers are not completely covered. There is only about 2 to 5 in. (5 to 12.7 cm) of material in the hopper at any given time, which allows both side-to-side and top-to-bottom mixing.
The 60-in. (152 cm) wide elevator is driven by two direct drive, high torque motors giving the elevator 1000 ton (907 t) per hour capacity.
The conveyor is driven by one direct drive, high torque motor giving the conveyor a 600-ton (544 t) per hour capacity.
The discharge conveyor ranges from 1 to 12 ft. (0.3 to 3.6 m) discharge height and can swing to either side.
Optional equipment offered includes a remix hopper, 12-hp (9 kW) generator, truck hitch, LED strobe, conveyor work lights, windrow pick-up head, 13-ton (11.8 t) hopper insert, and 5-ton (4.5 t) hopper insert extensions.
