Wilson Equipment Company celebrated its 125th anniversary with an open house event at the company’s headquarters location in Lexington, Ky., on Sept. 12.

The dealership invited its customers to help celebrate in a relaxed atmosphere, complete with a barbecue lunch. Manufacturer representatives from Case Construction Equipment and Bomag Territory Manager Dale Alferink were on hand to help out with the festivities and provide information on the equipment on display at the event.

What was started in 1889 by B.B Wilson as a one man operation renting and selling horse buggies has grown into a full line equipment company with locations in Lexington, Corbin and Prestonsburg, Ky. The company is still a family owned business with brothers Charlie, Jay and Will Rodes, who took charge of operations in the 90s from their father.

Among the major lines represented by Wilson Equipment Company are Case Construction, Atlas Copco, Bomag Americas, Takeuchi, Link-Belt Excavators and Kawasaki wheel loaders. The company also is the authorized dealer of Noram Motor Graders, Wacker-Neuson, Blue Diamond Attachments, Paladin Brand Attachments and Towmaster Trailers.
