On Dec. 15, Witzco Trailers Inc., will auction off a 2013 Step-Deck 50 ton (45 t) capacity trailer through Alex Lyon & Son Auctions in Mays Landing, N.J. One hundred percent of the proceeds from this auction will be donated to the Hurricane Sandy New Jersey Relief Fund. Alex Lyon & Son will waive its customary fees for this sale and LAP Transport will waive its transport fee from Sarasota, Fla., to Mays Landing, N.J.

“We feel compelled to help,” said Witzer. “As soon as we heard about this fund to help those in New Jersey who have been afflicted by Hurricane Sandy, we decided this would be the right thing to do.”

Witzco Trailers Inc. is a family-owned and operated business since 1938 producing a variety of heavy-duty transportation trailers. The company, which originated in Philadelphia, Pa., moved its operations to Sarasota, Fla., in 1979. Several family members have spent many years vacationing at the Jersey Shore, in Atlantic City and Brigantine. CEO of Witzco Trailers, Steve Witzer, also is a resident of Ventnor, N.J.
