Auction Special Edition. Vaviola Thickstun and Jeff Schenck had come to the auction from Paragon, Ind.  They are with J.W. Jones Co. and were looking to sell parts for crushing and screening machines. Hal O’Neal of O’Neal Contracting had come down from New Brunswick, Canada, to look at mini-excavators but found them too expensive. Alan and Taylor Onken were in town looking at the equipment but hadn’t found anything yet to take back to Balaton, Minn. Bruce Bowers, sales manager of G. S. Equipment in Tampa, Fla., had some equipment in the auction and was pleased with how much they sold for. Alden Perkins (L) and Marcus Shepard of APEquip LLC in Plant City, Fla., said they did very well selling equipment at the auction. Thoroughly testing a National Crane series 600C boom truck prior to bidding on it is Bert Pacheco of the U.S. office of Mega Cranes S.A.-Gigacon LTDA, based in Woodstock, Ga. Robert Devoe of U-Screen has been exhibiting his compact portable screening plant in the exhibitor area of the Yoder & Frey sale for the past few years. Day 5 of the auction and sale day for the cranes brought out some major equipment buyers (L-R) including Mark Myers, Great Lakes Equipment, Paris, Mich.; Marcus Shepherd and Alden Perkins, AP Equipment, Seffner, Fla; and Skeeter Wykoski, Three Lakes Truck Don Gibbs of Gibbs & Sons Machinery loads up his four-wheeler for his drive back home to Gadsden, Ala. Gibbs brought more than 100 machines to the Yoder & Frey sale and relayed that he was very successful in selling those machines at the auction. During a bit of downtime in between yellow machine auctioning, Jack Honeycutt of Gregory Poole CAT, Raleigh, N.C., admires a high performance airboat airbrushed as the “Big & Nasty” that was about to go on the auction block. Russell Dimmick (L), president of Lucky's Trailer Sales, purchased his first trailer from a Yoder & Frey auction held in Ohio many years before becoming a trailer dealer. Generations of contractors have been attending the Yoder & Frey’s annual February Kissimmee sale. Besides thousands of pieces of equipment and bidders from across the world, could the picturesque of the sale site have anything to do with Yoder & Fre Rubber-tired loaders were sold on day two of the sale. The crowds were large and the bidding was strong. With the strength of the export market and some improvement in the U.S. construction market, prices at this year's sale were up significantly. Hoppe Excavating CEO Byron Hoppe and waif Carol, the company’s president, escape the winter cold of Allentown, Pa., to enjoy the sunny Florida auction weather. Brenda Honeycutt of T-Quip Sales & Rental, Orlando, Fla., takes a look at this Cat 315C excavator. Getting a great view from his custom EZ Go with a Suzuki Samurai frame with a 4.3 V6 Chevy engine is James Gibson of WP Auto Sales. Every family should have one of these. Yoder & Frey held its annual Florida Auctions in Kissimmee, Fla.

The seven-day sale, held from Feb. 7 to 14, featured a vast selection of equipment, spanning paving and compaction equipment to cranes and lifts to trucks to earthmoving equipment and power equipment.
