Bidders had the chance to vie for a vast selection of equipment during Alex Lyon & Son’s three-day sale at the Atlantic City Racetrack. Checking out the skid steer loaders are Richard Wojtkowski (L) and Allan Manzolini of Pittsfield Lawn and Tractor, Pittsfield, Mass. Several bidders look over a Caterpillar 314C hydraulic excavator. Here’s one way to get around the auction site. A Caterpillar 305D gets a workout from John Rubinetti of Bergenfield, N.J. Tony (L) and Toby Darpino of Victory Farms, Galloway, N.J., look over a Bobcat mini-excavator. Rick Conley of Conley & Son Excavating Co. Ltd., Seneca Falls, N.Y., operates a Lay-Mor broom. Hundreds of pieces of heavy construction equipment went up for sale at the annual Alex Lyon & Son auction held at the Atlantic City Racetrack. Kevin Gates, owner of Woodwacker Lumber, Cedarville, N.J., is looking to get some equipment for the right price.

Alex Lyon & Son held its annual three-day rental return auction April 4 to 6 at the Atlantic City Racetrack in N.J.

Highlights of the sale included four rough-terrain cranes, 60 hydraulic excavators, 30 rubber-tired loaders, 46 vibratory rollers, 17 rubber-tracked skid steers and a wide array of trucks and trailers.
