American Cancer Society's 'Construction vs. Cancer, Big Dig'

The American Cancer Society Construction vs. Cancer, Big Dig, presented by Woodbury Corporation, will welcome kids of all ages to the Utah State Fairgrounds on Sept. 27 from 5 to 8 p.m., where they will be able to view and operate various types of construction equipment. This is the second year for the event in Salt Lake City which also will feature bands, games and food trucks for the whole family.

Pediatric cancer survivors and their families also will be honored at the event and receive free admission. They will be able to spend some fun time together and take time away from treatments and doctor's appointments.

The American Cancer Society is working to attack cancer from every angle. Proceeds from Construction vs. Cancer will support pediatric cancer research. The Society is committed to saving lives from childhood cancer and funds research that helps to better understand childhood cancers and develop effective therapies.
